Hi, I’m Katie
I’m a film editor based in Southern California and a recent Chapman grad with a B.F.A in Film & TV Production. I’ve been editing since I was a kid making YouTube videos in my bedroom, and honestly never stopped. Through high school I got into film projects and internships, and at Chapman I found my place editing narrative films, documentaries, pilots, and social content. I interned at Campfire Studios, cut my senior thesis film, and now I’m freelancing and ready for whatever’s next.
I’m an emotional editor — I care about rhythm, feeling, and the moments between the moments. Film school gave me the language for why certain cuts work, but I also follow my instincts and emotions to deliver the best possible story.
